A Coptic Icon depicting St. Mark writing the Book of Mark from the Holy Bible

The Coptic Orthodox church was founded by St. Mark the Evangelist in Alexandria, Egypt around 43 AD. We adhere to the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed. My church believes and worships in the One God, the Holy Trinity: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ, the Logos of God, became Incarnate and was died, buried, and resurrected in order to grant us the forgiveness of our sins. The Coptic Orthodox Church is the ancient Church of Alexandria, and has kept and defended its faith for almost 2000 years. The Church believes in the work of the Holy Spirit through the life-giving Sacraments including Baptism, Chrismation, Confession, and the Eucharist. The clergy of the Church traces its apostolic lineage back to the St. Mark and has not changed its traditions. More can be learned about this faith through this blog, but if there are any other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. God Bless you all!
